The Marine Hotel sits above Dublin Bay, and everything about the place is built around that view. The rooms are bright and open, the finishes are soft and coastal, and nothing in the space competes with the water outside the window. When it came to seating for their meeting, event and private dining spaces, the brief was simple: nothing showy, nothing heavy, just chairs that would sit comfortably inside a room that already had plenty to say.
We supplied reception chairs with custom pintuck detailing. The pale, weathered frame picks up the same relaxed, coastal palette running through the hotel, while the ivory seat pad keeps things soft underfoot and easy on the eye. The heavy-duty chairs are surprisingly lightweight and easy to maintain. They’re simple to reset between a boardroom lunch and an evening dinner, and the reinforced frame means they hold up under daily hotel use without losing that light, airy feel Sutton’s guests come for.
